Student Scholarships offered to attend WWDC

IF there’s one thing students never have enough of, it’s cash.  It looks like Apple may have recognized this, as they’re offering up 150 scholarships to potential developers-in-the-rough to attend this year’s WWDC!

In order to apply, according to Apple, you need to be “at least 18 years of age, currently enrolled part-time or full-time at a college or university, and either an iOS Developer University Program member, Mac Developer program member, or ADC Student member as of August 1, 2010 or later, and have identified yourself as a ‘Student’ in your developer profile.”

However, you do need to meet a little more than just the basics mentioned above.  Applicants “will be judged on technical ability, creativity of ideas expressed in products or projects, prior WWDC attendance, technical and work experience.”  In other words, you also have to know what you’re doing, and can’t just expect a free ride into the WWDC.

Scholarship tickets will get passed out by May 3rd, with applications being due by April 26th.

If you think you meet the requirements, head here to get more info and give it a shot!  Can’t hurt, right?
