Steve Jobs Resigns From Apple
YESTERDAY Steve Jobs made it official that he will be no-longer with Apple Incorporated. Steve has resigned from Apple as the CEO. Jobs has named Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook, to take his place and to become the new Chief Executive Officer. Steve Jobs has been elected Chairman of the Board and Cook will join the Board, effective immediately. Steve Jobs will be on the board of directors along with seven others.
As COO, Cook was previously responsible for all of the company’s worldwide sales and operations, including end-to-end management of Apple’s supply chain, sales activities, and service and support in all markets and countries. He also headed Apple’s Macintosh division and played a key role in the continued development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.
However, with this change in roles, there is currently no C.O.O., who might it be?
Mr. Steve Jobs will always be remembered. I believe that no one will be as good as Steve was.
Apple even made this official on their Executive Profiles page.
