Could The Next iPhone Have Pre-Paid Plans?

An article from Engadget

Well, this is surprising. A reader over at TUAW saw boththe iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S pop up on the Cincinnati Bell website. Not only is Cincinnati Bell not a big carrier like AT&T and Verizon, but it in the prepaid section. What the F?

Although this should be taken lightly, the listing does list it as having an 8MP camera, 4 inch screen, and running on 4G. The smaller, significantly cheaper 4S is also listed as having a 3.5 inch screen but the same A5 processor.

Again. While this is fascinating, it doesn’t at all mean it’s going to happen. BUT if it does, it means the new iPhones could be available on a multitude of carriers on plans that don’t necessarily suck you dry at the end of the month and networks that don’t throttle you.

End of article

IS this really a possibility? Could they offer  per-paid plans? What do you think? Please leave a comment, we love hearing from you!
